Regulator Offers Two Distinct Deck Configurations on All Models

Edenton, N.C. (October 2005) – What could be better than owning a new Regulator center console sportfishing boat? How about being able to choose between two distinct deck layouts without having to sacrifice an ounce of the legendary fishing prowess or performance for which Regulator is famous?

For 2006, Regulator continues to offer a choice of the open bow style or the popular forward seating configuration on all boat models from 23 to 32 feet. Regulator created the much imitated latter category when it introduced its 26 with additional bow seating in 1998. This year, in order to easily differentiate these two specific boat series, all models have been newly designated either “Classic” or “FS” (Forward Seating).

The Classic series is totally open, allowing maximum versatility for fishing forward and aft. The FS series provides generous wraparound seating in the bow to provide extra comfort for anglers who like to bring their family and friends along for the fun.

“Creating the FS models several years ago was a direct response to customer demand,” said Joan Maxwell, co-founder and president of Regulator. ”More owners these days desire family comfort, so we have incorporated a spacious seating area in the bow to accommodate those needs. However, we also have a strong following of hardcore fishermen who prefer our original, open design for fish fighting, hence the continuation of our open bow boats under the new Classic designation.”
The Classic models retain their commitment to wide-open fishability while still providing many of the comfort amenities included in the FS series, like enclosed head compartments, cushioned helm leaning posts and plenty of storage. However, while the FS offers bow seating, the Classic series sports more clean and uncluttered deck space, along with a pair of in-sole, insulated wet/dry storage compartments and a centerline in-sole fish box with locking rod storage. Optional coaming pads also are available.

Regulator’s FS models feature upholstered seats in the bow and padded coaming panels extending a full 360 degrees to provide fishing ease. Storage is not compromised, as cavernous wet/dry compartments are housed under the seats. The centerline in-sole fish box with locking rod storage also remains.

Regulator’s line of 23- to 32-foot offshore sportfishing boats are available in both the Classic and FS (forward seating) series, and are highly recognized for quality craftsmanship and rugged durability. The company is a repeat recipient of the National Marine Manufacturer Association’s Marine Industry CSI Award for customer satisfaction in the Fiberglass Outboard Boats category.
