FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Contact: Joan Maxwell The New Regulator 30’ Express: A Whole New World of Comfort For the Serious Offshore AnglerEdenton, NC — Regulator, known for building the finest offshore center console fishing boats in the market, has introduced the all-new 30’ Express. It’s the first in an expanding line of models that will appeal to the serious angler who demands the top fishing platform in class, together with a terrific touch of cruising comfort. “Our new 30’ Express represents a revolution in offshore fishing, sporting the legendary soft, dry ride for which Regulator is famous, with extra comfort and all the functionality of a forward cabin,” said Joan Maxwell, president. “Customers who live to fish and want the best in class will not be disappointed.” The 30’ Express was designed by renowned naval architect Lou Codega, who was responsible for Regulator’s inaugural launch in the market with its 26’ Classic. Like its predecessors, the 30’ Express retains its stalwart Regulator heritage. It is built tough with Regulator’s exclusive Fiberglass Grillage System, enabling it to stand up to the most punishing offshore conditions while delivering a smooth, solid and comfortable ride. According to Maxwell, this new model is unique by virtue of its advantages. “It’s a true 30’ sportfishing boat with an exceptionally large cockpit, the largest in its class, and all the fishing features a dedicated angler would want,” said Maxwell. “Utilization of the Armstrong bracket allowed the designers to take back the transom. Since the motor mounts are pushed back, you maximize precious deck space, plus the brackets deliver less resistance in the water, so you can get to where you’re going faster. These design features truly give Regulator an edge in this niche.” Below deck, the cabin offers all the core comforts of a large yacht with a fully-functional galley featuring microwave oven and single burner stove, stainless sink with Corian™ countertops and AC/DC stainless steel drawer refrigerator/freezer, plus a convertible dinette that is great for meal service and overnighting. Regulator offers the latest in digital audio & video technology with their optional entertainment system which consists of a 20-inch LCD television with built in DVD, an AM/FM, MP-3 and compact disc player. Aft berth accommodates up to two people, or doubles as additional storage. To top it off, Regulator added a convenient private head with shower. Another option available is a 5kw gas generator for those times you’re away from the dock. Overall, the cabin includes warm wood accents and stainless steel fixtures. Topside, the Regulator 30’ Express reflects the “Regulator mentality” toward sportfishing, which has always been Job #1 and top priority. A true “step up/step down” boat, it offers everything you’d expect, and then some, including a 35-gallon livewell, four gunwale-mounted rod holders, rigging station, transom fish box, plus walk-through transom door for easy on and off access. Discover flush mounted electronic panels on the console designed to accommodate two 10-inch multifunction electronic displays, plus a center helm station that gives the captain complete visibility and control at his fingertips. Regulator also adds “big boat seating” to the cockpit and center helm station. An L-shaped seating area offers ample room to relax while running to those favorite offshore fishing grounds, or a comfortable spot to hang out while docked. The L-shaped seating also conceals an additional six feet of storage. Find mezzanine seating aft, ideal for observation during trolling or just for relaxing and soaking up the sun. Its standard hardtop provides a cool haven from the heat and the bow pulpit with windlass makes anchoring a breeze. A boost of extra offshore confidence can be expected when you equip her with the new Yamaha V8, F350 outboard engines. These four-stroke motors utilize power steering and electronic controls which make them highly maneuverable for their size and the ideal power plant for the Express. Regulator’s line of 23’- to 34’-foot offshore sportfishing boats are highly recognized for quality craftsmanship and rugged durability. The company is a repeat recipient of the National Marine Manufacturer Association’s Marine Industry CSI Award for customer satisfaction in the Fiberglass Outboard Boats category.
