When the founders of Regulator launched Regulator Marine in 1988, their driving goal and focus was to design and build a line of center console sportfishing boats that far exceeded the standards in their class. Developed in the challenging conditions of the Outer Banks of North Carolina, Regulators were designed with safety in mind, and engineered to withstand and perform faithfully in volatile weather and sea conditions. Since its origin, Regulator Marine and its product line from 23’ to 32’ have earned a reputation as seriously tough offshore center console sportfishers with an unmatched smooth, dry and comfortable ride.

Regulator boats are designed exclusively by renowned Naval Architect Lou Codega. His designs reflect his extensive knowledge and passion for offshore fishing and his understanding of the unpredictable nature of that environment. Designed for the most demanding fishermen, Regulator boats have all the features you want in a convenient and logical layout. Tackle centers have been designed by fishermen for fishermen. And then there's that legendary ride. Regulator’s renowned soft, solid and dry ride is attained through the detailed analysis of the weight distribution of tanks and component combined with a special proprietary hull design.

Regulator’s hulls are laminated to last a lifetime and to withstand the rigors of offshore fishing. Its lamination process takes place in a highly controlled environment at one of the most advanced lamination facilities in the world. Laminates are hand laid by experienced craftsmen using only the finest glass, resins, and gelcoats available. Significant cost savings could be realized by using lesser quality materials and processes…but then it wouldn’t be a Regulator.

In boat building, the whole is no greater than the sum of the parts. Regulator has formed partnerships with top marine vendors who share the company’s quality ideals, such as Ashley Welding who incorporate the highest quality standards in their aluminum tubing and construction practices, and suppliers like Yamaha®, Lee®, Edson®, Lenco®, Richie® and Teleflex®. Only components that can withstand saltwater’s corrosive nature are used, such as premium stainless steel fasteners, hinges, latches, and deck hardware…all the way down to pumps, electrical systems, plumbing and tanks. This is why Regulator boats are the most trouble-free and reliable boats in sportfishing today.

All the components and parts are assembled by highly trained craftsmen for the finest fit and finish. After a thorough quality assurance inspection, each boat is polished to a showroom shine, wrapped in tough shrink wrap and delivered to the dealer in pristine condition.

As a result of this vision, focus and execution, Regulator is a multi consecutive-year recipient of the highly coveted CSI Award for outstanding product quality and dealership performance in the category of Fiberglass Outboard Boats, presented by the National Marine Manufacturers Association. In addition, all of Regulator’s boat models are NMMA certified because they meet the industry’s highest manufacturing standards.
