You might say Charlie and Abby Tiger did their fair share of “undercover investigative work” before purchasing their first Regulator 26’ center console they named “War Party.” As a full-time detective with the Hollywood, Florida Police Department, Charlie wanted a sportfisherman that would maximize his time on the water and provide the ride and quality that he demanded, with plenty of fishing amenities for his favorite fishing partner, Abby. His top cop work paid off, he says, with the investment of his 26’ in 1997.
“I’ve owned three boats,” says Charlie, “but I can honestly say this is the best one we’ve ever had. Our other boats were good, but they just don’t compare to our Regulator.”

Besides fishing in their local hot spots, Charlie and Abby have taken War Party to the Bahamas on several occasions, with some personal successes. During a dawn to dusk excursion recently, Abby caught a 73 lb. grouper in 280 feet of water about 20 miles north of Bimini, one of her proudest moments.

“I drive the boat and Abby always seems to be the one who catches the fish,” chuckles Charlie. “We go for it all here ... kingfish, sailfish and dolphin.”

When considering why he chose Regulator for his boat of choice, the answer was straightforward.

“I went out 22 miles off the coast of Ft. Pierce to fish for some wahoo and smoker kingfish,” he explained. “The winds kicked up and the swells surged ... most boats just weren’t able to navigate through those types of conditions.”

Charlie says that his Regulator, however, handled the job like a pro and reinforced the buying decision for the Tigers who brave just about any sea condition out there in order to enjoy their favorite sport.
