New Orleans businessman, Jimmy Owens purchased his first Regulator 26' in 1998 from Cypress Cove Marina in Venice, Louisiana.

Naming his first boat after his two oldest boys (Jeremy James Owens and Jesse David Owens), Jesse James has ventured off the Louisiana coast in search of everything from billfish, giant yellowfin tuna, wahoo, amberjacks and most recently a 702-lb. mako.

Crewed by his wife (Terri), two sons (Jeremy and Jesse) and two daughters (Jamie and Jordan) Jesse James has provided the Owens family and friends with numerous trips to the offshore waters of the Gulf Coast and home. Few families fish a boat as hard as this group of blue water enthusiasts. Regulator is honored to have built the Owens' two 26's and look forward to building them another boat in the future.
