Fish Tales

Mike Hegarty

Hello,

This trip happened last year:

After taking delivery of our 2004 Regulator on a Friday we wanted to break her in and went to the Gulf Stream on Saturday for my first fishing trip on a Regulator. I have owned several different name brand center consoles and by far this is the best riding center console that I have ever owned, what a battle wagon!! The morning started at 4:30 and out the inlet we went. After a very dry and smooth ride out 61 miles we arrived to our fishing spot, 61 miles off Wrightsville Beach, NC. The day started out slow but what a difference a few hours made. After trolling for 2 hours and not a strike, the left rigger finally snap off and it was on! It was the most intense fishing I have been in a while. We had four and five on at a time. It was one of the best Yellowfin and Wahoo days I have ever had too date. (12 yellowin / 3 Wahoo) We headed home early because we caught our limit. I will be a Regulator owner for life. Thanks for making a quality and dependable boat!
