East of Great Point at 0500 Hours

These four photos were taken by Captain Shawn Bristow on charter from his summertime base - Nantucket, MA. They feature four-time Regulator owner Richard S. duPont and his youngest son Sam duPont during a particularly soothing pass at the Stripers just after sunrise on the first of July, 2006. Dick and Sam caught and released forty Stripers in two and a half hours - sight casting with surface lures. That's about as good as it gets even in Nantucket - definitely worth the early reveille.

Captain Shawn purchased his first Regulator 26 ("Square Tail") jointly with Dick last year. His business subsequently prospered and he became full owner at the end of that season - another Regulator success story. Captain Shawn also fishes Harkers Island, NC from October thru December each year for everything from False "Albies" to Giant Tuna which he catches from swivel rod holders in the 26 Regulator's bow. Dick and his five sons, Richard, Dave, Ben, Zack and Sam are enthusiastic fishermen have all enjoyed family outings on Dick's various Regulators like the one pictured above. Dick was one of Regulator Marine's first customers for the 26 and is now rumored to be ordering his fifth Regulator - the new, truly independent Regulator 29. Good luck, Dick - one for each son!
