When it comes to fishing, this family knows who's on top, especially with their Regulator 26' named "Toppin", due to their business -- marine canvas! The Gores, who, in fact, have already witnessed success through local newspaper coverage around their hometown of Wilmington, N.C. for winning local king mackerel tournaments, are some of Regulator's biggest promoters.

Danny Gore, a co-owner with his brother of Gore Marine Fabrications, Inc. and a long-time fisherman, is a proponent of Regulator's high standards of building fine offshore boats, which he claims has exceeded his own quality standards.

"Besides the quality , what I really liked most about Regulator was its lines," said Danny Gore. "I've been around the industry all my life and I've never seen a boat with pretty lines on its hull. I also like the fact that this is a North Carolina built boat. It's built for brutal offshore conditions."

For Danny, his father David and 18-year old son Josh, time on their Regulator is bonding time. The adage, "a family that fishes together, stays together" is inherently true especially since the Gores enter 12 tournaments on average each year. When they're not going for gold, Danny and his crew fish for fun.

"I started off with a Regulator 23'," he said, "but, after using the 23-footer, I felt like it was time to move up to the 26'. It is extremely smooth in rough offshore conditions and handles exceptionally well. I've told my buddies the Regulator 23' handled better under tough offshore conditions than the Mako 25' I used to own."

Gore credits Regulator dealer David Floyd at Atlantic Marine in Wilmington, for nudging him to test the product years ago. Today, he's the first to say it was one of his best decisions ever!
