Best Summer Ever! 11-Year-Old Hannah Catches First Marlin

My name is Hannah, and I'm 11 years old. This past summer, I had a great time fishing on my dad's new 34-foot Regulator in Ocean City, Maryland with family and friends. She is called the Christine Marie III. Our boat is docked in Harbour Island Marina on 14th Street in Ocean City. Our boat has three 300 horsepower engines. It goes super fast and can even go over 50 miles per hour, which makes it a quick ride to and from the canyon. I’m so glad my dad got this boat, because this summer has been nothing but happy smiles and Marlin flags!

In my opinion this boat is perfect for fishing, going around the bay, or pulling up to small islands to jump off and swim because it's not too big that it's hard to pull up to sand, and it's not too small that you can't go out fishing during rough days.

My favorite moment on the Christine Marie III was when I caught my first marlin that summer. I was super excited and I was so proud of myself that I reeled it in. I loved playing "Celebration" by Kool & The Gang in the inlet to celebrate after the fishing trip. I got to raise up my marlin flags by the inlet, and enjoyed dancing and singing in the GoPro camera with my little sister, Kaitlyn, while we were trolling.

Between catching marlin and having relaxing days cruising around the bay, it was by far the best summer I have ever had. And the main cause of this great summer was thanks to our new boat the Christine Marie III!
