1988
Joan and Owen Maxwell set out to reinvent the center console experience and begin designing the first-ever Regulator in an old A&P Grocery Store in Edenton, NC.
1990
Joan and Owen Maxwell, along with their growing team, relocate the factory to Regulator’s current location at 187 Peanut Drive.
1990-1991
The first-ever iconic Regulator 26 launches and is named the best up-and-coming center console by Sport Fishing Magazine.
1992-1999
Regulator’s line of center consoles grows to include the 21, 23, and 32.
2002
Regulator receives the company’s first Customer Service Index Award, launching a tradition of recognition for the highest level of customer service
2012
The Regulator 26 “Queen Bee” is discovered off the coast of Spain after an unmanned three-and-a-half year 3,000-plus-mile journey across the Atlantic – with little more than slightly-bruised T-Top frame and every part still intact.
2015
Regulator enters the big boat center console game with the launch of the Regulator 41 bringing the offshore experience to a new level.
2019
Regulator introduces the versatile XO Series of center console crossovers for easy access to lakes, bays, and skinny waters.
