Following years of testing and collaboration, Regulator unveiled the very first boat in the world to be equipped with the new DG3 Gyro Stabilizer technology. 

The Dometic DG3 Gyro brings cutting-edge stabilization to boats from 35 to 41 feet, delivering a smoother, more comfortable ride across a range of sea conditions. It’s the first in a new series of advanced gyro stabilizers from Dometic—and it’s fast.

The DG3 spins up in just 16 minutes (compared to 50 minutes for typical systems) and fully spins down in under 20 minutes—versus 8+ hours for others. Its dedicated 48V lithium spin-up battery and larger flywheel generate powerful angular momentum at a slower 4,700 rpm, reducing strain and boosting performance. Energy from the flywheel is even recaptured during spin down to recharge the battery.

In line with the Regulator 35 debut, Dometic officially launched their fully-electric gyro at the 2025 Discover Boating Miami International Boat Show showing off faster spin-up times, lower power consumption, and so much more. The Regulator 35 and Dometic introductions made waves throughout the boat show - where Dometic was also recognized with the coveted Miami Innovation Award.

Once underway, the stabilizer’s smart sensors constantly monitor sea conditions and dynamically adjust to counteract movement—providing a smooth, stable ride without overcorrection. Whether in light wake or rougher seas, the DG3 Gyro offers intuitive, real-time motion control that enhances comfort and performance on the water.
