“When you’re offshore in rough conditions, peace of mind is everything. Our Regulator 24 lets us fish harder, go farther, and stay out longer.”
An Owner's Story: José Yovin Ponce
For José Yovin Ponce, boating out of Aguadilla, Puerto Rico means quick runs to deep water, where the Atlantic Ocean meets the Caribbean Sea. It also means being prepared for constantly changing conditions.
José became a Regulator owner in 2024 after running a MAKO 19. “We needed something we could truly trust. After running the Regulator in rough conditions, we knew we made the right choice.”

He spends much of his time offshore, often targeting mahi far out, where 10 to 12 foot seas are not uncommon and the boat truly proves itself.
His 2012 Regulator 24, repowered with twin Yamaha 200s in 2026, delivers the balance he was looking for. It is built for serious offshore runs, yet still easy to enjoy for cruising and beach days.
What stands out most to José is the ride quality, build, and overall sense of control and safety offshore. Even in rough conditions, the ride stays smooth and dry.
That confidence is paying off. This season aboard My Way, José and his crew have won five of six tournaments across the island.
